Just in time for Valentine’s Day, our newest artist, Aimée Bebeau, has brought in some stunning floral arrangements nestled in her handbuilt bottles and Japanese inspired ikebana vases. Through Sunday, February 16, stop by to view nature’s fleeting beauty and perhaps wow that special someone with the lasting gift of one of her graceful vessels.

Come check out the almost-too-pretty-to-eat French macarons and desserts of baker extraordinaire Jackie Wong of Sans Serif Bakery! Take home boxes of her delightful sweets, taste some samples and pick up a Gingerbread Hygge House kit to gift or apply your own artsy vibes to. You can also preorder through her website, then pick up at Niche on Saturday, 12/14, or place an order that day for later in the holiday season. This event is concurrent with Joy Jackson Griffith’s Pop Up.

Niche is pleased to host blown glass artist and encaustic painter Joy Jackson Griffith for a pop up! Joy will have her handmade jewelry, blown glass ornaments and encaustic paintings available in addition to her blown glass vases and votives featured in Niche. Please come meet this Ballard artist in person, ask questions about her work and take home some handmade gifts for your loved ones.
Ballard HolidayFest
The Ballard Alliance is hosting the 2024 HolidayFest at Marvin’s Garden Park! Kids, bring your stamped Tomte Trail Passport (visit Niche for this!) to win a prize. Also enjoy free photos with Santa, hot cocoa and cider, holiday treats, a tree lighting and live music.

Artists’ Reception: Atmospheric Firings
Meet four artists who use atmospheric firings in wood and soda kilns to create beautiful and unique pottery. Ask questions, feel the surfaces created by ash and vapor and learn about these labor intensive processes. Pictured is a soda fired tea cup by Damian Grava.
