Ballard Art Walk

Grab a friend and come to downtown Ballard for a walking tour of local artists’ work on Saturday, May 9, 6 to 9pm.

“In my work I embrace asymmetry as a representation of natural variations, rather than imperfection, an expression of the natural world’s geometry to be celebrated. How seed pods or river stones, for instance, will have one side slightly larger, or more curved, indented or higher than the other. And yet they are still beautifully whole.”  —Aimée Bebeau

This month, Niche is pleased to feature the work of ceramic artist Aimée Bebeau, a Ballard local who focuses on ikebana vessels for floral displays. Each pot is laboriously coil built, smoothed and textured by hand before firing. The exteriors are hand painted with matte acrylics, often resembling natural stone. These pots are so beautifully crafted that they can be displayed as stand alone art pieces, sans florals.

Please include Niche during your art walk journey this month. Meet Aimée and receive a 10% discount on her work from 6-9pm only.

As always, Niche will serve up something delicious to sustain you through your promenade!
