The August Ballard Art Walk is our kick off event for a three week long fundraiser, Community Spoons: Hand Carving for Hope benefiting the Ballard Food Bank! The Seattle Spoon Club will be demonstrating their skills throughout the evening, carving wooden spoons while representatives from BFB talk about their work in our community.
YOU can support BFB in three ways while at Niche: 1) buy a hand carved wooden spoon or hand turned bowl - 60% of the purchase price will be donated; 2) give money directly to BFB through our donation page: (link coming soon) 3) donate shelf-stable foods and goods.
Members of the Seattle Spoon Club have hand carved each spoon. The wood used is sourced from hardwood trees that have come down in a storm or needed to be trimmed or removed for safety reasons. When lovingly cared for, these sustainable utensils will last for years.
Please stop by during the Ballard Art Walk and support the work of the Ballard Food Bank!
