Ballard Art Walk featuring Pearl McCrea

Pearl McCrea is a Seattle based ceramic artist inspired by her upbringing on the Olympic Peninsula. Growing up beachcombing along the Pacific Northwest coastline, she developed a deep love for kelp strewn shores, barnacle covered rocks, and the quiet treasures found in the tide.

She creates functional ceramic serving ware, primarily hand carved platters featuring coastal motifs. This carving-based approach has naturally expanded into linocut printmaking, where she translates her coastal motifs into bold, graphic impressions on canvas and cotton.

Pearl’s work transforms everyday objects into functional artwork. Each platter is designed to be lived with, holding food, gathering people, and carrying a quiet reminder of sun-warmed skin, salt air, and the treasures waiting along the shore.

Please visit Niche starting Saturday, March 14, during the Ballard Art Walk and through the end of March to support this local artist!
